Machias Area Food Pantry
Due to federal budget cuts we are only able to serve patrons living in the following towns:
Bucks Harbor, Cutler, East Machias, Jonesboro, Machias, Machiasport, Marshfield, Northfield, Roque Bluffs, Wesley, and Whitneyville.
We are located at 43, Kennebec Road, Machias, Maine
You will have the option to shop on Mondays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. OR Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Please note that you may only visit the pantry 1 time per week. First-time visitors will be asked to complete a brief intake form. Presently, the pantry offers in house shopping. Be sure to bring your reusable bags!

New Pantry Closing Policy
Please note our new policy for closing the pantry due to inclement weather.
If we need to close due to bad weather on a Monday, our next distribution day will be the following Wednesday only. On such Wednesdays, we will expand our hours and be open from 9:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.
If we need to close on a Wednesday, our next distribution day will be the following Monday with our normal distribution hours from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
If the Machias schools are closed, the pantry is closed. Closure updates can be found on our website and Facebook page.
Donations
We accept donations on Monday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Wednesday 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. Please do not leave donations outside.
Your donations to the Machias Area Food Pantry (MAFP) helps us to fulfill our mission of feeding those in need. We appreciate every donation that we receive. Please note that you will receive an end of year acknowledgement of your monetary gift.
New Garden Project
The Machias Area Food Pantry is excited to begin its new garden project this summer!
Along with the support of many others, we wish to thank The Coast of Maine for their donation of 10 cubic feet of their Castine Blend Raised Bed Mix through their "Growing Good Program" (#GrowingGoodProgram#GrowingGoodwill)
We also wish to thank our local participating Machias retailer, Pineo's True Value Hardware (spineo@truevalue.net), where we obtained this product.
